Did you learn how to cook?

Post by Shole on Tue Jul 26, 2016 8:59 am

I went to a professional high school for culinary art, meaning I have a degree as a cook. What I think is that cooking is an important part of the skills you need to survive on your own in the world. If you don't know how to cook you will spend a bit more on food than you should. So do you know how to cook?

I'm self taught. My parents worked a lot when I was younger. So I learned at a young age how to feed myself. I'm in no ways a professional but I think I do pretty good.

My mother taught me. She was the best cook ever. I miss her cooking a lot. Everything she made tasted amazing.

I mostly learned to cook because I love cooking. I made cooking a hobby of mine and learned from the Internet or from traditional recipes from my family.

It's a great hobby to have. Can help save a lot of time too.

My Mum and my Grandma taught me to cook. With them teaching me and me taking cooking lessons at school I found it easy to learn to cook, now it comes naturally to me and I find that I can take a recipe and change it a little to make something different and it is a lot of fun to experiment and create different varieties of recipes.

I have no clue how to cook and when I try I'm pretty terrible at it. I stick mostly to things that can be made in the microwave and delivery lol. If given the chance I'd learn how to cook though.
